DR. KOPPIKAR

I have been in practice for over 20 years. I graduated from The Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and completed my residency at the Veterans Administration in Cleveland, Ohio. My wife Maya & I moved to Arizona in 2005 for the weather and lifestyle. I have hiked the Grand Canyon 5 times… and rafted it once. My favorite hike is Havasupai Falls.
My team and I love making people smile. Our motto is – SMILE MORE!

Visit our Smile Gallery to see a sample of the lives we have changed, and read our reviews to see why Phoenix LOVES us! If you want to enjoy this level of care and expertise, please call (602) 954-8200 and schedule a consultation today.

Dr. Koppikar is an adjunct faculty member at the Arizona School of Dentistry and volunteers at the Brighter Way Foundation. He is one out of only three dentists who has medical privileges at Banner University Hospital. In his free time, he likes to go hiking and biking as well as Suns and Rising games with family and friends – especially with his beautiful wife Maya and their adorable kids Karina and Kaidin.

DR. LARKIN

I developed an interest in dentistry at a very young age and was drawn to the artistry of dentistry. As I got older, I realized what a powerful impact a healthy, confident smile can have on someone’s life. Dentistry has allowed me to not only explore various countries such as Colombia and Guatemala, but to also help patients in these underserved populations get out of pain. Today, I feel grateful knowing that I not only enjoy the work that I do, but that I am making someone’s quality of life that much better.

At work, the well-being of my patients is my primary concern. Many people fear the dentist, so turning fear into laughter is an exciting challenge for me. I take pride in providing patients a gentle and painless experience in the dental chair, especially those who may have once had the opposite.

I grew up in Brooklyn, New York as the middle child in a family of six. I loved being part of a larger family and all the excitement it brought around the house. My dental career brought me to Arizona in 2016 and I have never wanted to leave!

TRICIA

Treatment Coordinator

My favorite part of working in dentistry is being able to help every patient who walks through our door, whether they are here for preventive or routine appointments or for more dental work, and it is a great feeling to be part of a team that can help someone get out of pain, or recreate their smile. After more than 14 years in dentistry, I still have a passion for serving our patients every day.

Outside of work, I am an absolute and avowed nerd! I love to read on any topic, from business to science to personal growth to philosophy to history – the longer the book, the better! I also enjoy listening to podcasts and audiobooks while I run distance. I’ll gladly take any recommendations you have!

GINA

Dental Hygienist

Gina was a dental assistant for nine years prior to becoming a dental hygienist, but she had actually planned to be a lawyer! What changed her career path was quite literally a dream in which she was told to get into dentistry rather than law! She loves that she is able to make her patients feel comfortable rather than feeling like they are in a torture chamber.
Growing up in New Jersey, she spent a lot of time hiking and snowboarding with her whole Italian family. As the oldest of four, Gina learned how to cook young, and now that passion has grown to include good wines as well. She’d love to hear any of your favorite recipes or pairings!

JANELLE

Dental Hygienist

I’ve been in the dental field for over ten years, and I still am so passionate about my patients’ gum health and how it affects their overall health. It’s amazing to see how far we have come so quickly with new treatments, especially the non-invasive treatment options.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three kids, hiking, dancing, and doing yoga. They all certainly keep my busy with the help of our three dogs. I’d love to see pictures of your dogs as well!

AL

Sterile Tech

Al has always loved working directly with people, and she felt that dentistry would be the perfect field for her to work in during college, as she needed the flexibility but still wanted to be able to help people as much as she can.

When she isn’t studying or working, Al enjoys gaming with her friends or shopping to find the perfect gift for someone. She is always telling her mom what to read next, planning theme parties with her friends, and sometimes she even finds time to sleep!

ALEXIS

Dental Assistant

Alexis loves being a dental assistant because every day she can help at least one person to overcome their fear of pain so that they can smile more.

Alexis is extremely creative, and she is the one who makes most of our desserts for our team meetings, especially her chocolate-covered strawberries. She got this trait from her mom, who loves working more with crafts and fabrics, but did teach Alexis how to share pretty things to make others smile. Alexis would love to see anything that you have made, so please open your phone and show her the pictures you have!

OMAR

Omar is our humorous hygienist, and if he can’t make you laugh, then no one can! Even his favorite dental advice is funny: Not flossing is like going to the bathroom and not wiping! Omar will tell you that his joy and humor is based in his family, in his beautiful wife and their two boys. He loves spending time with them – trying new foods, going off-roading, and sharing his love of Pokemon with his boys. If you know of any good family events, tell him so he can put them on his calendar!
